In April 2025, the Hotline published the “Reporting Islamophobia” project. Through this project, surveys and focus groups were conducted in British Columbia to understand Islamophobia in schools and the community at large, the efficacy of reporting mechanisms, and barriers to reporting. This brief includes an overview of Islamophobia in Canada, government responses and initiatives to combat Islamophobia, and the next steps communities can take to address Islamophobia.
