Coping with Islamophobia
Join the Islamophobia Legal Assistance Hotline and Ruh Care to learn how to navigate and cope with the rise of Islamophobia in Canada. This event is open to all. However, those who serve Muslim populations will greatly benefit from this workshop as it will highlight how service providers can better support their clients who have been impacted by Islamophobia.

About our facilitator:
Aisha Afzal is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused, Solution-Focused, and Mindfulness-based approaches. She is also able to provide spiritually-integrated therapy. In her practice, Aisha invites an exploration of how community and social contexts play into experiences and understandings. Her stance is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and holistic, integrating the mind, body and spirit.
